Kid Kazooey Holiday Sing-a-long
St. Mark’s classrooms and families join together in Garton Hall to sing, listen and dance along to holiday songs familiar to those who celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year’s, Winter Solstice, and more! This is a special time to come together to celebrate our diverse and vibrant community before our two week winter break.

Individual Conferences- NO SCHOOL
Families and teachers meet during school hours for conversations. St. Mark’s subs provide childcare during conferences so that both parents may attend.

Young At Art
The Young at Art Festival provides hands-on (and often messy!) art activities on our outdoor play yards. Families attend together and bring friends and grandparents. There’s something for everyone! Our teachers and parents volunteer to help run this event every fall for the greater community beyond St. Mark’s.

On the final day of school, an ice cream social is held on the school grounds. Families gather and have the opportunity to visit, play, and say good-bye for the summer.

Summer Camp at St. Mark’s is a continuation of our child led play based curriculum, hosted outdoors on our play yards. The program is staffed with St. Mark’s teachers and experienced participants. We enjoy lots of water play!

Friday Fun Begins
Friday Fun is an extra day for children from Dandelion and Foxtails to enjoy our play based curriculum as their classrooms combine together. This group tends to be a bit smaller as it is optional. Friday Fun is staffed by Dandelion and/or Foxtail teachers.

The Beginning of the Year Pizza Party is held in September, shortly after school begins, this event is an opportunity for St. Mark’s families to meet, eat and play in our play yards after school.

Shortened Day
Our transition week begins with shortened days. On these days, parents may remain present if needed, which is sometimes the case for younger children. Our first full day of classes is August 20th .

Open House Days
Children and parents are invited to attend a one hour long visit to their classroom to meet teachers, see their classrooms and play in a smaller group. Open house schedules will be provided in the Parent Portal.

Parent Orientation
Parents are invited to attend an adult only orientation night to tour the school, gather in community, and meet teachers. Parents will have a chance to meet each other, and teachers will provide information about the first few weeks of school, answering any questions families might have.

Soup Cook Off
The Soup Cook Off this year will be our finale event to our weeks long 3T Auction fundraiser. During the Soup Cook Off, St. Mark’s families and teachers will cook soups to compete with each other for the coveted prize: The Golden Ladle Trophy. Attendees will have the opportunities to sample all the soups and vote for the winner. St. Mark’s families are encouraged to invite friends and families to this fun evening event.


3T Auction
The 3T (Time, Talent and Treasure) Auction is our largest fundraiser of the year with proceeds supporting teacher pay and training, materials and equipment and tuition remission for families in need. Community members bid on offerings of handmade items, homemade foods, child friendly activities and materials, gift cards for local businesses and unique experiences in support of our school.
